About Regenwald Stiftung

Founded in 2002, we are dedicated to preserving and restoring Costa Rica's precious rainforest ecosystems through authentic conservation projects and meaningful community partnerships.

Costa Rican rainforest conservation

Our Mission

To protect and restore tropical rainforests while empowering local communities through sustainable environmental initiatives.

Our Vision

A thriving world where tropical rainforests flourish, biodiversity is protected, and communities prosper in harmony with nature.

Our Story

Regenwald Stiftung was born from a deep love for Costa Rica's extraordinary biodiversity and a commitment to preserving it for future generations. Founded in 2002, our organization emerged from the recognition that protecting rainforests requires more than good intentions—it demands proven action, authentic partnerships, and measurable results.

What sets us apart is our commitment to transparency and real impact. Every tree we plant is documented, every hectare we restore is monitored, and every community partnership is built on mutual respect and shared benefits. We believe that authentic conservation work speaks for itself through results, not just promises.

Through our flagship Cabuya Malpais project and strategic partnerships with organizations like Huella del Futuro, we've proven that small, focused efforts can create lasting environmental change while empowering local communities.
